A very good friend of mine recently lost his mother, a deeply religious
Christian,  to cancer. At one point before she died, she was undergoing
chemotherapy and experiencing a lot of nausea as a result. I suggested to
her that smoking pot could help alleviate the nausea, and she answered:
"But that's a sin. It I do that I'll go to Hell."
No matter how you feel about recreational use of pot, to prohibit the
legitimate medical use is both cruel and stupid.
