Last Action Hero My goodness, I had the weirdest experience the other night. It was Monday night, and I had picked up some Drixoral caps at the supermarket, didn't have anything important to do the next day, so I figured to go for it. I've never been able to understand why some people don't like doing the caps - granted, they are more expensive, but the Drixorals in my town have $1 off coupons for your next purchase inside, which brings it down to the same price range. I personally don't have any problems swallowing horse pills (my calcium supplements are much larger than the caps, anyways), so I took them. I was having a lovely time, everything on TV seemed to be really good. Watched some on Comedy Central where 4 people were arguing with some ultra-Bible-Thumper-Everybody-Who-Isn't-the-Exact-Same-Kind-of- Christian-That-I-Am-Will-Burn-in-Hell weirdo, about the ultra religious right's desires to inflict their values on everyone else. The main thrust was that they were using religious arguments in support of legalization (like, "Prozac is a man made drug, so it's legal, but marijuana and mushrooms were made by God, so they're not ok") which I had never heard before, and I thought was rather interesting. It was a really happy show to be watching while getting into the best part of the DXM buzz. Made me laugh to think how much more incapacitated I get by something that I can pick up on any supermarket shelf than by something that I could pick out of the ground, which is considered so dangerous that it has to be illegal. The best part of my DXM trip was several hours later, when it was starting to fade a little, but I was still very much under the influence. Last Action Hero was on HBO. I had never seen it, because I had heard that it was simply awful, and really didn't even know of anyone who had seen it. I missed the beginning, but I quickly became completely engrossed. It just seemed to have so many levels of being, reminded me kind of the Plato's Cave analogy (I think it was Plato's). Anyways, I just wanted to highly recommend it as a movie to watch when really messed up. I always hate when I watch something that I know is good when I'm messed up, because then I know that I'm missing something, but with LAH, it was like I was getting something out of the movie that wasn't really there. It was amazing, and really blew my mind. -- alt.drugs
